Role: Project Leader, Designer, Developer, Content Producer
Team: Matt Walker, Gabe Abadilla, Gui Santana

Overview

It was time for a third iteration of our company website. Accel Robotics has grown and our technology has matured even during the pandemic, so we needed to updated our story. Version two of our website was a leap forward from the first version which was a few years old. We wanted to updated the company brand and launch the new website to coincide with a press announcement of our Series A Funding back in Sept 2019.

Out with the Old and in with the New

During the pandemic, we started working on the third iteration of the company website. With everyone working remote, we scheduled a lot of syncs and communicated constantly through Slack. We performed competitive analysis and set our target audience. I assisted in developing the initial website sitemap as well as the story for each page and underlying sections.

  • Accel Robotics responsive mobile layout.

  • It's Done! But...

I wrapped up development of the website and tested it through BrowserStack as well as numerous physical devices. Our next step was gathering key stakeholders to contribute in writing the copy, but then there was a pivot. The project sat on the shelf for some months due to company pivot and current conversations with investors and partners preventing us from continuing.

  • Collaborative copywriting with key stakeholders.

  • "Got Clearance, Clarence"

After months of sitting on the shelf, we continued developing the site. At this point, the company landscape has changed and we had to updated a few sections on the website. Leadership wanted it to go live ASAP so we scheduled staged releases. I kickstarted the copywriting by gathering key stakeholders and we collaborated on a copy deck.

Spring is in the Air

We finally launched in the spring of '22. The new website does a better job in telling our story.
